Cu-Doped and Un-Doped WO3 Photochromic Thin Films

In this work, 0%, 0.5%, 1%, and 2% Cu-doped WO3 nanoparticles were synthesized via a polyol method. The as-synthesized materials characterized by x-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), paramagnetic resonance (EPR), photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), UV-Vis photochromic activity. A bond valence model was adopted to explain the relationship between lattice parameter Cu percentage. Additionally, two films (1% un-doped samples) obtained dip-coating from well-dispersed suspension optically investigated using ex situ in spectrometry; coloring/bleaching kinetics thoroughly studied. film found have high-quality bleaching mechanism (five times as fas film). Finally, high performance of doped confirmed successive cycling, showing that as-prepared compounds are great interest for smart window applications, example.
